DEEP CLEAN

CAPSULES AND CAR SEATS ARE SAFETY ITEMS AND AS SUCH MUST BE HANDLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURERS' GUIDELINES. THIS MEANS THERE ARE SOME LIMITATIONS IN THE TREATMENTS AND SERVICES WE CAN OFFER YOU.

 

A DEEP CLEAN service includes the following:

Soft fabrics 

All fabrics are removed from the shell and hand washed, soaked and scrubbed.

Additional stain removal methods are used as required.

After drying, soft fabrics are re-installed on the shell.

Hard surfaces (shell and fixtures)

The shell is wiped down and detailed.

All crumbs and debris are removed from all accessible crevices.

The area underneath the seat (where applicable) is cleaned and detailed.

Belts

Seatbelts are a safety item and are always cleaned according to manufacturers guidelines.

Because the safety of the child using the product is our priority, some stains may not be completely removable.

Seatelts are cleaned with water and mild soap (if necessary) and all residue rinsed throroughly. 

Fabric Detail

Pilling is removed where possible.

Loose threads removed

Mould Treatment is an additional service.

Please Note: Mould on car seats and seatbelts is a safety issue and manufacturers do not approve the use of any product to treat or kill mould on belts.

Some manufacturers will permit the use of steam on their covers and belts, and others do not. 

MANUFACTURERS ADVISE THAT MOULDY SEAT BELTS/ RESTRAINTS/ WEBBING ON CHILD RESTRAINTS SHOULD BE REPLACED.

The strength and integrity of seatbelts can be compromised by the growth of mould itself and the use of any highly acidic or alkaline product (including natural products like vinegar) may cause weakness in the belts and cause them to fail in the case of an accident.

Pure Prams is regularly in contact with Car Seat Manufacturers and ready to alter our processes if necessary, should the guidelines change.
